Some people with hair loss think that the only way to combat it is to shave their heads or wear a wig or hat. But, you don’t have to deal with hair loss any longer if you live in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and have plenty of money—you can get a hair transplant! Read this hair transplant guide to find out everything you need to know before getting one of these life-changing procedures done in the United Arab Emirates.
Why get a hair transplant?
There are several reasons why you may choose to have hair transplant surgery. If you’ve experienced substantial hair loss, if you don’t like your hairstyle, or if you want more fullness in your hair (especially after aging), then surgery might be right for you. With all of these factors taken into consideration, it’s important that you choose a highly-qualified hair clinic. Alborj Hospital is one of only two centers in Dubai that provides reputable and top-of-the-line hair restoration services. Find out what sets us apart from our competitors!
How much does it cost?
The cost of a hair transplant can vary widely depending on what’s being transplanted, where it’s done, and your clinic selection. At Alborj Hair Clinic in Dubai, we strive to make our services accessible to everyone. Although most clinics charge you by graft count—with prices ranging from $1-$3 per graft—we’ve streamlined our process into four packages that give you additional value for your money and reduce pricing on procedures like FUE. Our VIP Package provides 70% off what most other clinics would charge for FUE and guarantees work from one of only two master technicians in all of UAE!
Where can you get it done?
One of my patients told me about Dr. Dimitrios Ziakas and his team at Alborj Hair Clinic when I was looking for someone who could transplant some hair into my thinning top line after years of balding. After meeting with him, I decided that it would be worth it to make an appointment with them so I could find out if there was anything they could do for me (the answer is yes). They are really accommodating and speak great English – everything you want from a clinic. The first step is coming in for consultation, where they will take photos of your scalp and explain how hair transplants work. Don’t expect to leave without making an appointment!
There are two methods used to obtain hair follicles for transplantation: Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS) and Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE). During FUSS, one area is surgically extracted from an area of dense hair growth on your back or side of head. For example, if you have sufficient density on your back, surgeons can remove a strip of healthy tissue containing several thousand follicles. The surgical procedure takes about four hours per area. In comparison, during FUE, individual hairs are removed with tiny punches from your donor area by removing individual follicle units with minute dissection instruments. The entire graft removal process takes less than one hour per area as opposed to more than four hours for FUSS.
